Morrison Supports The Edmonton Food Bank

On Thursday, September 21, Morrison Homes held its 2nd Annual BBQ to Support the Edmonton Food Bank. Thanks to the generosity of our staff and valued trade and supplier partners, we raised 4,297 lbs of food plus $5,760 in cash.

"Years ago, the Morrison Homes construction department adopted an old saying "The Power of the wolf is in the pack", says Irwin Horsey, General Manager of Morrison Homes Edmonton. "We use this saying as a daily reminder of the power of teamwork! This was another great example of what positive teamwork can achieve."

The Morrison Homes BBQ Food Drive coincided with National Hunger Awareness Week in Canada (Sept 18-22). The need for food donations has never been stronger. As of March 2016, 79,293 Albertans received food from a food bank, which is up 17.6% from 2015 and 39.4% of those were children and youth.
