Online Sales Assistant - Calgary

Morrison Homes is looking for an Online Sales Assistant to facilitate our online lead program with Sales and Marketing. As an award-winning builder, we’ve built the reputation of the Homebuyer’s Best Friend™ and need someone enthusiastic, highly organized and tech-savvy to engage with leads, manage live chat and express the Morrison brand online. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and working closely with our sales teams in Calgary and Edmonton, the Online Sales Assistant:

  • Builds and maintains a working knowledge of home models, promotions, and communities.
  • Responds to live chat inquiries and responds immediately by phone and/or e-mail to website form submissions with the goal of setting showhome appointments.
  • Qualifies leads based on individual needs and works with prospects to determine the best fit community.
  • Provides information and marketing material to prospects as needed.
  • Follows up with prospects after their scheduled meeting.
  • Maintains CRM database of leads and prospects with updated information and detailed customer notes.
  • Tracks and reports on lead management activities.
  • Assists with various sales administration tasks.

The Right Person

If you are friendly, a natural with spreadsheets and passionate about new homes sales, this position is right up your alley. As an organized self-starter, you take satisfaction in helping others - in this case, helping people from all walks of life on their new home journey. Your experience in customer service tells you this requires more than just providing timely and accurate information. It takes a positive attitude, a friendly personality and the ability to use a variety of communication and productivity tools (mostly online ones). And when it comes to work life balance, you’re not looking for a typical 9 to 5 job. The prospect of working flexible hours from home, at the office and wherever wi-fi takes you, sounds like a dream come true.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate over the phone, by chat and by email in a concise and friendly way.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets and CRM software.
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot Sales Hub or Live Chat software an asset.
  • Previous experience within the real estate or home building industry an asset.
  • Flexibility to work from home, at the office and to be available evenings and weekends.

THE POSITION AND DUTIES

Morrison Homes is currently looking to fill the position of Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate must have a CPA Designation with two years’ experience in a supervisory role. The candidate must also have strong leadership skills, be responsible, organized and a good communicator.

Responsibilities include:

Supervision of the Accounting Department including overseeing Accounts Payable, Banking, Administration, Payroll, General Accounting and Financial Reporting. Leading the team and answering all day to day questions is an important part of this role.

Direct responsibilities include reviewing the monthly Balance Sheet package, Income Statement budget to actual variances, month-end payables, payroll, government filings and tax instalments. Preparation and review of internal and external reporting requirements including Financial Statements and Bank reporting. Other duties and projects as assigned.

Education & Skills

  • Professionally Designated Accountant (CPA)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook is required
  • Trustworthy and professional
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize

Morrison Homes is seeking a Construction Warranty Field Technician to join our Calgary team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for addressing post possession warranties, visually inspecting and performing hands-on repairs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct Pre and Post possession inspections
  • Communicate effectively with the trades persons on additional concerns and schedule warranty and trades repairs
  • Display accountability to follow through to completion

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be well organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Exhibit confidence by establishing relationships with customers and trades
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, rewarding environment
  • 3+ years of proven Site Superintendent or Warranty Technician experience in the new home industry is an asset
  • Experience utilizing software such as Punch List Manager is an asset
  • Must provide a clean driver’s abstract.
