The Position

Morrison Homes has an opportunity for a professional New Home Area Manager. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you are results oriented, proven by your ability to deliver strong, high volume sales.

Job Responsibilities

  • Become fully versed and knowledgeable of Morrison Homes, and what we have to offer to our homeowners, and the communities in which we build
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and new homeowners to support business development opportunities
  • Focus is on raising the standards of the home building experience by offering unparalleled choice quality and service while addressing customers’ needs and desires.
  • Respond to incoming email and phone inquiries in a timely manner
  • Negotiating the terms of purchase agreements and proposals to close sales
  • Meet and exceed personal sales targets
  • Liaise with our various departments to provide excellent personalized customer service.
  • Exclusively responsible for maintaining detailed homeowner files, marketing materials, and showhome appearance.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Strong customer service skills
  • New homes sales experience would be an asset
  • Self motivated and hardworking individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to deal with sensitive situations in a discreet and respectful manner and able to work with confidential information
  • Well organized, detail oriented and the ability to multi-task and coordinate the various activities

Accounting Manager - Calgary

Morrison Homes is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team in Calgary.

THE POSITION AND DUTIES

Morrison Homes is currently looking to fill the position of Accounting Manager. Are you a professionally designated accountant (CPA) with three or more years’ experience in a supervisory position and are looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced environment? The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership qualities, be responsible, organized, a good communicator and have previous experience supervising a team in full cycle accounting. This position reports to the CFO.

Responsibilities include:

Supervision of the Accounting Department including overseeing Accounts Payable, Banking, Land Administration, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, General Accounting, Financial Reporting and preparation and overseeing the Annual Audit, Review and Notice to Reader Engagements of the various legal entities.

Direct responsibilities include reviewing external reporting requirements including the Financial Statements and Bank reporting and internal review of the month-end balance sheet package, journal entries, government filings and internal financial reporting requirements. The position involves working with the CFO to prepare the annual budgets, monitor budget to actual results and cash flow updates.

Education & Skills

  • Professionally Designated Accountant (CPA)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • Experience with Sage (Timberline) and ADP Software would be an asset
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook is required
  • Trustworthy and professional
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive supervising in a team environment, but also work independently

Compensation and Benefits

Architectural Technologist - Calgary

Morrison Homes is looking for an Architectural Technologist – Senior/Intermediate to join our team in Calgary.

  • Ability to conceptualize structural and architectural details in three dimensions
