Morrison Homes is currently looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our Design & Drafting Team for our single-family division. As a top, award-winning builder, we have worked hard to build a reputation as the Homebuyer’s Best Friend™ and are looking for a candidate to bring our architectural designs to life, ensuring they are translated into constructible and cost-effective solutions. Reporting to our Senior Manager, Design & Drafting.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare complete set of working drawings, including plot plans
- Creation of new complete construction details as requested
- Work with a broad range: detached and semidetached, townhomes, zero and traditional lots.
- Review contract documents and customer changes, update standard plans and effectively communicate all information to all parties
- Review architectural control guidelines
Job Requirements
- Architectural and Building Technology Diploma or Degree
- Experience in the home building industry with a strong commitment to customer service and technical excellence
- Knowledge and previous experience with AutoCad software required
- Ability to interact with other industry professionals, associated trades and industry authorities
- Understanding of local building codes, by-laws, and architectural controls
- Self motivated and hardworking individual with excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Well organized, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate as part of a team while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
