Morrison Homes is currently looking for a Sales Manager to join our Sales team for the single-family division in Calgary. As a top, award-winning builder, we have worked hard to build a reputation as the Homebuyer’s Best Friend™ and are looking for a candidate to help maintain our core values with dedication and perseverance. As a Sales Manager you will play a pivotal role in demonstrating to the customer what it means to build with Morrison Homes as well as the sincerity and integrity behind our reputation.


Job Responsibilities

  • Become fully versed and knowledgeable of Morrison Homes, what we have to offer to our homeowners, and the communities in which we build
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Area Managers, Assistants, and new homeowners to support business development opportunities
  • Meet and liaise with new homeowners and assist them throughout the home purchase process
  • Able to work evenings and weekend
  • Aid in training and motivating all sales personnel within Calgary and surrounding area
  • meeting and exceed sales targets
  • Complete administrative tasks
  • Maintain Sales Manager calendar and updated of responsibilities and tasks;
  • Maintain and organize files both hard and soft copy
  • Manage land inventory levels and sale release

Job Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Sales or customer service experience would be an asset
  • Highly motivated, hardworking individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to deal with sensitive situations in a discreet and respectful manner and able to work with confidential information
  • Well organized with a strong attention for detail
  • The ability to multi-task and coordinate the various activities
  • Proven resourcefulness to work independently, be proactive, and take initiative along with the ability to work well within a team environment and actively participate in team meetings
  • Proficient in identifying and recommending various options available to the customer
  • Maintain and promote a positive image of Morrison Homes by providing a high caliber of professional service and by dealing with professional communities and employees in a courteous and professional manner.

Senior Architectural Technologist

Morrison Homes is currently looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our Design & Drafting Team for our single-family division. As a top, award-winning builder, we have worked hard to build a reputation as the Homebuyer’s Best Friend™ and are looking for a candidate to bring our architectural designs to life, ensuring they are translated into constructible and cost-effective solutions. Reporting to our Senior Manager, Design & Drafting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare complete set of working drawings, including plot plans
  • Creation of new complete construction details as requested
  • Work with a broad range: detached and semidetached, townhomes, zero and traditional lots.
  • Review contract documents and customer changes, update standard plans and effectively communicate all information to all parties
  • Review architectural control guidelines

Job Requirements

  • Architectural and Building Technology Diploma or Degree
  • Experience in the home building industry with a strong commitment to customer service and technical excellence
  • Knowledge and previous experience with AutoCad software required
  • Ability to interact with other industry professionals, associated trades and industry authorities
  • Understanding of local building codes, by-laws, and architectural controls
  • Self motivated and hardworking individual with excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Well organized, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate as part of a team while ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Junior Construction Estimator

Job Responsibilities

  • Residential construction estimating
  • Responsible for cost calculations and quantity take-offs
  • Cost calculations of extras and upgrades
  • Communicate and liaise with estimators, purchasers, as well as sales, construction & selection studio team members
  • Report to the Estimating Supervisor and the Estimating & Purchasing Manager
  • Correspond with our trade partners and suppliers

Job Requirements

  • Residential construction experience is an asset
  • Experience in computer applications such as Excel, Word, Sage 300 CRE, Builder MT and other database driven systems considered an asset
  • Knowledge of residential construction and the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Work independently and as part of a team on tasks and projects
  • Detail oriented and goal driven
