Tightening a Toilet Seat

To keep your toilet seat secure and comfortable, periodically check and tighten the screws, as they can become loose with use.

Start by using a flathead screwdriver to open the cap on the toilet seat hinge. Then, use a Philips head screwdriver to insert the tip into the plastic toilet set screw. Rotate the screwdriver clockwise until the screw is snug and secure, but be careful not to overtighten, as this can break the plastic screw. Once tightened, close the cap and press it back into place. Repeat this process on the other screw if needed.

Regular maintenance of your toilet seat helps ensure it remains stable and functional. For additional guidance, refer to your Homeowner Guide.
